BEIJING - Dell and China's largest search engine, Baidu launched the latest mobile phones which will help the company expand their business in the Bamboo Curtain country. Streak Pro smartphone is, the first handset that uses a mobile platform, Baidu Yi, which is compatible with Android applications.

But this is only for local products and users in China. The platform allows users to access to 'Baidu', music, maps and other Internet services.

Streak Pro is targeted at business users and young people, and will be launched before the Chinese New Year in late January. The device is powered by Qualcomm's 1.5 GHz, dual core processor, Super AMOLED touch screen 4.3 inches with a resolution of 960x540 pixels.

Dell choose China, to launch a new mobile device the first time there. In July, the company has launched a 10-inch tablet Android Android her exclusively in China.

Dell Greater China president, Michael Yang said China is a country that is fast becoming the largest market of smartphones in the world. Dell will partner with Baidu to offer the perfect handset products, according to the needs of Chinese consumers.

The Chinese search giant, is in talks with other handset vendors to use the mobile platform Baidu Yi and was considered present in the tablets.

Baidu also launched a new smartphone, are like other Chinese companies are releasing their own operating system to promote its services.
