SAN FRANCISCO - Apple has launched a worldwide replacement program, the iPod nano battery problems. The company said on its users to stop using the product for free and get instead.

"This is an extremely rare case, the first-generation iPod nano battery may overheat and pose a safety risk," Apple said in a notice.
